Kinkster MAG Founder, “We Will Continue to Be Inclusive & Welcome All”

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." - Abraham Lincoln

Dear Kinkster Brands NYC Family,

As a culturally conscience website and online publication for gay men and our LGBTQ allies, and as the Founder, I cannot ignore what’s happening around me. A loyal reader suggested that we were too silent about immigration. I am happy to contribute to the current conversation about Trump and immigration.

The world has been ripped apart, and it’s personally affecting my business partner and me. However, I have a skill many don’t have; I know how to write, express myself with intelligence and use powerful words using the keystrokes of my keyboard.

It took an African-American President to bring our country together. Whether you agreed with his policies or not, the current climate is proof our Former President Obama was the hope our nation needed. And the current one is not.

If you think you’re perfect, you better start looking in the mirror, no-one on God’s Earth is perfect.

It’s time we stop pointing fingers. I bet half of those who criticize suck at their jobs and those who are good at what they do appreciate and respect the power that comes with it. Being humble for your greatness is a lesson I pray Trump quickly learns. If not, God is my protector and will protect you and me from the rain.

Unfortunately, those granted and blessed with power abuse it and take advantage of those less powerful, a vicious cycle under which our country has been built. If we continue to abuse the natural order of change, positive change, we will no longer be a nation of greatness. The American dream is deflating right before our very eyes into nothing.

Sadly, our current President is a white man who is creating turmoil, fear, and the greatest divide I’ve ever seen in this country, and around the world! Every day, I read more and more racist comments, and it’s sad that we’ve come to this place. I pray this means our country has hit rock-bottom and that it can only get better.

Whether you agree or not, want to ignore the facts, or turn a blind-eye, Trump has given people permission to be more hateful and racist. The immigration ban is not only sad; it’s very disturbing.

An advanced society backsliding to days like when my late grandmother cleaned toilets of the rich to feed her family is dangerous. With the odds against my grandmother, she raised three smart black women and planted the seeds of greatness in her grandsons, black men. Through her life’s challenges and daily struggles she still continued to have compassion which is why I believe America was already a great place to live.

What is happening to our country?

The current climate in our country calls for us to unite against hate, discrimination, violence, and racism. Kinkster MAG is proud to stand in solidarity with other like-minded people as we fight for what’s right.

Since our founding, we have been inclusive, and we continue to stay that way. As an African-American gay man who understands the struggles faced by those who are considered different, my story and my passion are partly the reason Kinkster MAG is becoming a successful online publication. I want to reassure our readers that we are an online lifestyle magazine who will defend and speak out and speak up for our bright and diverse community.
