Do you believe in faith? During challenging times in our lives, we rely on faith to see us through. Martin Luther King Jr, one of his famous quotes, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” How profound is this statement right now? What is the meaning of “faith”? Well, it is having complete trust or confidence in someone or something. When you work towards a goal, you desire, exercise faith in knowing that you will complete it to your satisfaction and success.
Do you feel like you lack in faith right now? We have faith in knowing that no matter what happens, our religious belief in the existence of God, we rely entirely on him and trusting in his power and wisdom to help us rise above the difficulties in our lives. For faith to work for us, we must admit that God exist even though we cannot see him. We must express our actions by the way we live. Showing love and compassion for our fellow human beings when trials and tribulations are upon us, it will give us strength to face the hardship and know we are not alone.
When our future is uncertain, by having faith it will give us peace to know “God’s got this.” It will give us the courage to face the hardship and strengthen our belief in God. Studying the word of God is one way to enrich our faith. It is like exercising, we grow and develop into a healthy human being when we exercise our faith. When we fill our hearts with the word of God, our souls will be enriched, and we will have a deeper understanding.
Faith is taking action. When we see injustice upon our fellow human beings, we must rely on faith to help us and pray to God that with his guidance, we will prevail. We plead for his blessings and his strength to guide us as we move forward with courage during our hardship. Have faith in knowing and praying to God for his mercy to guide us on our way to a brighter future. We must put faith in action by having compassion, forgiveness, love, grace, and mercy for our fellow human beings on the planet, a better way of living. We must not hide our faith and belief from God because it will die and have no life to do the work necessary for a brighter future.
“Faith is the substance (assurance) of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1)
